We helped Dr Cos Dentistry earn first-page Google visibility for high-intent searches in Paphos. This dental SEO case study explains how a bilingual website, focused service content and continuous measurement turned local search demand into measurable visibility.

Patients often begin with a need rather than a dentist’s name: “dentist Paphos”, “Botox Paphos” or “Paphos dentist prices”. Our job was to build a clear digital presence around those real search journeys, while presenting Dr. Cosma Giannakopoulos, his services and his practice with the depth patients expect before making contact.

The website appeared on Google’s first page on average for multiple local and commercial-intent searches. In the final seven days of the supplied Search Console period, the site recorded 20 clicks from 541 impressions, compared with 10 clicks from 408 impressions in the first seven days.

That comparison shows direction within the reporting window; a seven-day sample can fluctuate. Search positions also vary by device, location and time.

What we built, and why

Dr. Cosma Giannakopoulos is a dental surgeon in Paphos with a particular interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. The project combined website design, bilingual content, search visibility, analytics and reporting into one connected system.

1. A website built around local patient intent

We created the Dr Cos Dentistry website around a clear proposition: professional dental care in Paphos. The homepage establishes the location and practice immediately, while dedicated About, Services, Portfolio and Contact pages answer the main questions a prospective patient is likely to have.

This structure also gives search engines a clearer understanding of the practice. Instead of relying on one broad page, the website separates the doctor, the clinic, its treatments, its results and its contact route into distinct, crawlable destinations.

2. Dedicated pages for the services people search for

The site includes focused pages for treatments such as dental implants, crowns and veneers, orthodontic aligners, dental cleaning and root canal treatment. It also includes educational content targeting more specific searches, including veneers, teeth whitening, Invisalign and facial aesthetics in Paphos or Cyprus.

Each page gives one topic enough space to be understood. That creates a better route for a person arriving from a specific search and a stronger topical structure than a single services list could provide.

3. English and Greek versions for a bilingual market

The website is available in English and Greek. This supports people who search and assess care in either language, including local residents and international patients living in or visiting Cyprus.

Bilingual publishing is more than adding a language switcher. The translated pages need consistent titles, internal links and service context so each version can stand on its own. The supplied Search Console data already records traffic and first-page average positions for Greek URLs, including the Greek Botox and fillers page.

4. Trust before the enquiry

The About page introduces Dr. Giannakopoulos’ background, experience and professional memberships. A before-and-after portfolio gives visitors a closer look at real treatment work, while the contact page presents the practice details and appointment form in one place.

Search visibility can bring someone to the website. Professional information, clear services and visible examples help them decide whether to take the next step.

5. Measurement built into the project

Google Search Console shows which searches generated visibility and clicks. Google Analytics shows how people used the site after arriving. Together, they make it possible to identify pages that are already performing and opportunities that need another round of content or on-page improvement.

The first-page Google rankings

The strongest evidence in this dental SEO case study is the site’s visibility for searches that describe a service and location, beyond searches for the practice name. Each query below recorded an average position within Google’s top 10 during 30 May–29 August 2026.

Source: Google Search Console, Web search. Average position is a period average, not a permanent rank for every searcher. The export may omit some low-volume or anonymised query data, so query totals do not equal the site-wide totals.

Cyprus generated 100 Google clicks from 2,613 impressions at an average position of 8.8. This is locally relevant visibility in the market the practice serves.

Where the next growth opportunity sits

The data also shows a valuable group of searches close to page one. These are not presented as finished wins; they are the clearest candidates for the next optimisation cycle.

best dentist in paphos61 impressions12.31
porcelain dental veneers in cyprus214 impressions14.86

These searches show existing relevance and demand. Stronger page introductions, fuller answers to price and treatment questions, improved internal linking, updated portfolio evidence and continued reporting can help turn near-page-one visibility into a larger source of qualified visits.

What visitors did after they arrived

Google Analytics recorded 99 active users, 98 new users and an average engagement time of 1 minute 2 seconds between 3 June and 31 August 2026. The homepage received 105 views, while the Contact page received 57, the About page 40 and the Services page 34.

Those page paths make sense for a healthcare decision: discover the practice, assess the doctor and services, then look for a way to make contact. The data supplied does not include confirmed form submissions or appointments, so this case study does not present contact-page views as leads.

Mobile experience is especially important. Mobile generated 127 of the 177 Search Console clicks, and Google Analytics recorded 82% of active users on mobile. The site therefore has to communicate trust, services and contact options clearly on a small screen.

Built for search engines and AI-assisted discovery

Good AI visibility starts with the same fundamentals as good search visibility: clear entities, specific answers, consistent internal links and crawlable pages. The site identifies the doctor and practice, separates key treatments into dedicated pages, includes a real portfolio, publishes in two languages and exposes its public URLs through an XML sitemap.

That structure gives search engines and AI systems clearer material to interpret. It does not guarantee inclusion in an AI answer, and the supplied reports do not establish AI Overview citations. It does, however, create a stronger information foundation than a thin brochure website.

What other dentists and doctors can learn from this

  • Lead with specialty and location. People commonly search for the care they need and the city where they need it.
  • Give priority services their own useful pages. A clear treatment page can answer intent more precisely than a generic services list.
  • Build trust into the journey. Professional background, clinic information, treatment examples and direct contact details all support the decision after the click.
  • Design for mobile first. Most of the measured audience used a mobile device.
  • Use reporting to choose the next move. Page-two queries reveal where existing relevance can be developed instead of guessing what to publish next.

The goal is to make a practice visible at the exact moment a patient searches for its service and location, then make the next step feel clear and credible.

That is the approach behind our medical website design and SEO and AI visibility services for healthcare professionals in Cyprus. Every project is shaped around the practice’s specialty, location, languages and current digital presence.
