To find a night pharmacy in Larnaca, use the official Pharmaceutical Services duty page, choose Λάρνακα and check the date of your visit. Call the listed pharmacy to confirm its location and collection arrangements, especially after a late flight or before travelling from outside the city.
This article helps you use the current duty rota. It does not label individual pharmacies as permanently open overnight.
Open the correct Larnaca duty list
The official city heading is Διημερεύοντα Φαρμακεία Λάρνακας. It currently links to a downloadable spreadsheet. Check the dates covered by the file and find the entry for the evening or overnight period you need.
Keep the official landing page bookmarked so you can find replacement files. For another published contact source, use Cyta’s night-pharmacy page and verify the city and date shown. A cached result or an old screenshot can be out of date even when its title looks relevant.
Finikoudes, Mackenzie and the city centre
If you are staying near Finikoudes or Mackenzie, confirm the actual street of the duty pharmacy before setting out on foot. A city-wide Larnaca result is not necessarily close to the beach or your accommodation.
Match the rota’s name and address to the map pin, then ask the pharmacy about the best collection route if access is unclear. If someone else is driving, share the full address and the confirmed arrival arrangement together.
Arriving late at Larnaca Airport
If you realise you need medicine after landing, check the duty list before making a detour from the airport. Do not assume that an airport shop offers prescription dispensing or that a pharmacy near the terminal is on duty.
Call with the medicine name and prescription details, confirm that the pharmacist can help, and then plan transport. Your hotel or host may help with directions, but the pharmacy should confirm stock and access. If the need is an emergency, call 112 rather than delaying care while searching for a shop.
Oroklini, Livadia and villages outside the centre
Tell the pharmacist your actual starting point. An address described broadly as Larnaca may be a significant journey from Oroklini, Livadia or a surrounding village. The city heading does not guarantee a duty pharmacy in every nearby community.
Check both the outbound and return route if you do not have a car. Before paying for transport, confirm the exact medicine, whether it is available and what documentation is required. This is also useful when a relative is collecting on your behalf.
Open-shop hours and overnight contact
Duty service can change from a published walk-in opening period to an on-call arrangement for prescription dispensing. The current Pharmaceutical Services notice sets the applicable arrangements; confirm how they apply to your intended arrival time.
Ask explicitly, “Can I visit the shop now, or do I need to arrange collection with the duty pharmacist?” If you are checking after midnight, verify which overnight period the rota covers instead of choosing an entry on the date alone.
Prescriptions and medicine availability
A listing is not a stock reservation. Have the medicine’s name, strength and form ready and ask the pharmacist what prescription information to bring. If you are visiting Cyprus, explain where the prescription was issued rather than assuming it will be accepted.
Our guide to prescriptions in Cyprus covers GESY, private and cross-border routes. For a new assessment or prescription, see after-hours doctor options.
