The cost of a medical website in Cyprus depends on its scope: the number of doctors and services, content, languages, appointment features, integrations and ongoing support. Doctors Cyprus quotes each project after reviewing the practice’s needs. We do not publish a single fixed price that would cover every clinic.

The useful question is not simply “How much is a website?” It is “What will this quotation deliver, and what will we pay to keep it working?” This guide gives you a practical brief for comparing proposals and avoiding missing costs.

What changes the price of a medical website?

1. Doctors, services and locations

A website for one doctor at one address is a different project from a medical centre with several specialties and branches. Each practitioner needs accurate information. Each important service needs a clear explanation. Each location needs its own contact and access details where those differ.

Agree a page list before comparing prices. “A ten-page website” is still an incomplete scope if it does not identify which pages are included, who supplies the content and how many rounds of revision are covered.

2. Writing, photography and content preparation

There is a difference between placing finished material on a page and researching, writing, organising and checking it. Ask whether the quotation includes interviews, biography editing, service copy, image selection and formatting.

The practice should nominate someone to approve professional credentials and clinical information. Real team and clinic photography can also be planned as a separate production session. Our medical photography and video guide explains what to prepare.

3. English, Greek and additional languages

A bilingual website needs more than a language switch. The scope should include the pages being translated, who checks medical terminology, how translated forms behave and who updates both versions later. Read our guide to English and Greek medical websites for the full patient journey.

4. Appointment requests and integrations

A contact form that sends a request to reception is different from a live scheduling system. Confirm whether a patient receives a request acknowledgement or a confirmed appointment, and which member of staff manages the next step.

If you need integration with an existing booking platform, CRM or other system, identify it during the brief. Check its subscription, setup requirements and the information it needs to exchange. Avoid collecting detailed health information through a general enquiry form simply because the form can support more fields.

Compare three common project scopes

These are examples of scope, not published price packages:

  • Single-practitioner website: a professional profile, focused service pages, one location, contact details and an appointment-request route.
  • Bilingual practice website: the same foundations with complete English and Greek journeys, reviewed copy, translated forms and language-specific search settings.
  • Multi-doctor medical centre: individual profiles, service organisation, location information, staff editing responsibilities and any agreed booking integrations.

A smaller site can be the right investment when it answers the important questions well. Additional pages earn their place when they explain a real service, practitioner or location.

Separate the build fee from ongoing costs

Ask for two clearly itemised parts of the quotation.

One-off work may include discovery, structure, design, writing, development, migration, redirects, initial SEO configuration, launch checks and handover. Photography, translation review and third-party integration work should be identified explicitly if included.

Recurring costs may include domain renewal, hosting, email hosting, software licences, translation services, backups, security maintenance and support. Ongoing content, SEO and advertising are separate activities unless the agreement specifically includes them.

Ask whether prices include VAT where applicable, when renewals occur and what happens if you change provider. Also confirm who owns the domain, who has administrator access and how your website and content can be transferred.

What should a useful quotation actually say?

  1. The page list: named pages, practitioners, services and locations.
  2. The content responsibility: who writes, supplies photographs, translates and approves.
  3. The patient journey: call, enquiry, appointment request or integrated scheduling.
  4. The technical scope: mobile layout, essential SEO settings, accessibility checks and measurement.
  5. The delivery stages: what you review, how revisions work and what could delay launch.
  6. The handover: access, training, documentation and support after launch.
  7. The full cost: setup, optional items, recurring fees and renewal terms.

How to keep the project within a sensible budget

Start with the pages patients need to understand and contact the practice. Gather biographies, qualifications, service lists, addresses and photographs before design begins. Nominate one decision-maker and collect feedback into a single response at each review stage.

For a redesign, preserve useful existing URLs and content where appropriate. Agree which material can be reused and which needs replacement. A scope review is more useful than rebuilding every page automatically.

Use our medical website checklist to check the proposed deliverables. A visually attractive homepage should be supported by working service pages, contact routes and maintainable content.

Frequently asked questions

1. Is SEO included in the website price?

It depends on the agreement. Initial titles, headings, indexability and site structure are different from ongoing research, content creation and performance reviews. Ask the provider to name the included work.

2. Is hosting the same as maintenance?

No. Hosting makes the site available online. Maintenance covers agreed upkeep, such as updates, backups and checks. A package may include both, but the responsibilities should be written down.

3. Can we launch first and add more later?

Yes, if the initial structure supports the planned expansion. Agree what belongs in the first release and what is optional, so the launch remains useful on its own.
