For a night pharmacy in Limassol, open the official duty-pharmacy page, select Λεμεσός and check the date you need. Telephone the listed pharmacy to confirm its address, medicine availability and whether you can visit at that time.
This is a practical guide to finding the correct service, not a fixed list of pharmacies advertised as open tonight.
Where to find the Limassol duty-pharmacy list
On the Pharmaceutical Services page, select Διημερεύοντα Φαρμακεία Λεμεσού. The link currently downloads a spreadsheet. Open it in a compatible app, locate the relevant date and check the accompanying address and telephone details.
Use the latest file linked from the official page instead of bookmarking an individual spreadsheet that may later be replaced. If you use Cyta’s night-pharmacy information as an alternative, check its displayed city and date before relying on an entry.
Limassol city centre, Germasogeia or the western suburbs?
Start with your actual location. A search for “Limassol pharmacy” may show results around the old town, the seafront, Germasogeia, Mesa Geitonia or the Polemidia area. A familiar business name or a city-wide search result is not enough to establish how far away it is.
After finding a pharmacy on the rota, enter its full street address in your maps app and compare the route from where you are. If several pharmacies are listed, call the one that is practical to reach and check stock before arranging transport. Avoid heading along the coast simply because a result mentions the tourist area.
If you are staying outside the city, including in a village or a more distant coastal area, confirm the exact destination and return transport. Do not assume a city rota guarantees a duty pharmacy within walking distance of your accommodation.
Visiting on a Sunday or public holiday
Check the rota for the specific Sunday or holiday. Ordinary opening hours and a pharmacy’s usual weekday schedule do not answer who is assigned to after-hours duty.
Before travelling, ask three practical questions: “Are you on duty for this date?”, “Can I come into the shop at this time?” and “Can you supply the medicine on my prescription?” These checks are particularly useful if you are organising a taxi or collecting for someone else.
What if the pharmacy is on duty but the door is closed?
Duty arrangements can include an evening opening period and later prescription service by an on-call pharmacist. Check the current official notice and call the published contact for instructions. “On duty” should not be read as unrestricted walk-in shopping all night.
If you are already at the pharmacy, look for its posted duty information. If you cannot reach that contact, check the current list for another available option. For a medical emergency, call 112.
Collecting medicine for a family member
Call with the medicine name, strength and form, and explain that you are collecting for someone else. Ask the pharmacist which prescription information or identification is needed. This can prevent a second journey with missing details.
For a GESY or private prescription, our Cyprus prescription guide explains the general collection routes. For a new prescription or assessment, see finding a doctor after hours. A pharmacy visit and a medical consultation serve different needs.
Frequently asked questions
1. How do I find tonight’s duty pharmacy in Limassol?
Choose Λεμεσός on the Pharmaceutical Services duty-pharmacy page, locate the correct date and call the listed contact.
2. Is there always a night pharmacy on the Limassol seafront?
Do not assume the duty pharmacy will be near the seafront or your hotel. Check the current address and route before leaving.
3. Can I use the same pharmacy every Sunday?
A previous Sunday’s listing is not evidence of this Sunday’s duty assignment. Check the current rota each time.
4. What should I search in Greek?
Try διανυκτερεύοντα φαρμακεία Λεμεσός. On the official page, look for the Limassol heading ending in Λεμεσού.
5. Does a duty listing confirm that my medicine is in stock?
No. Ask the pharmacist about the specific medicine and collection requirements before travelling.
